In this workshop, each attendee will learn the process of growing and harvesting chocolate, and how chocolate is made from "bean to bar". After this short presentation, each attendee will be making 3 different confections including chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate sea salted caramels, and cherry almond bark (or pistachio cranberry bark depending on the available ingredients). Each attendee will be able to take home their hand-made confections in a to-go box.

(THIS CLASS FEATURES NUTS INCLUDING ALMONDS, PISTACHIOS, AND/OR PECANS).

Attendees will be working in groups of 4, sharing workspace and utensils. Attendees need to wear closed-toed shoes, and hair should be tied back. Attendees will receive 10% off on any purchases made in-store the day of their workshop.

All items made at The Chocolate Shoppe are made with certified gluten free and peanut free ingredients. If you have any other food allergies, please let us know ahead of time as adjustments cannot be made on the day of the workshop or event. Classes with fewer than 8 registrants will be rescheduled or refunded. There are no refunds for cancellations made by registrants within 7 days of a workshop or event.

LEGAL NOTICE & CONFIDENTIALITY AGREEMENT:
By registering for, attending, or participating in a workshop, class, birthday party, or event (hereby referred to as event or events) at The Chocolate Shoppe, you may be given access to our products, suppliers, ingredients, copyrights, trademarks, patents, and other proprietary information including recipes and the intellectual property of The Chocolate Shoppe and its owners and employees.

Registrants, attendees, or participants of any and all events at The Chocolate Shoppe will not at any time or in any manner, either directly or indirectly, use for the personal benefit of themselves or their business, or divulge, disclose or communicate in ANY manner any information that is proprietary to The Chocolate Shoppe, its employees and its owners. The nature of the information and the manner of disclosure are such that all registrants, attendees and participants understand it to be confidential, and will protect such information and treat it as strictly confidential.

For a period of three years after the effective date of this Agreement (registration of any event), registrants, attendees and participants will not directly or indirectly engage in or with any competitive business or events, which includes but is not limited to, (i) engaging in whole or in part in a business as an owner, partner or agent; (ii) becoming an employee of any third party that is engaged in such business or events; (iii) becoming interested directly or indirectly in any such business or events, or (iv) soliciting any customer of The Chocolate Shoppe for the benefit of a third party that is engaged in such business or events, and agrees that this Agreement will not adversely affect The Chocolate Shoppe's business or events.

For a period of three years after the effective date of this Agreement (registration of any event) will not directly or indirectly solicit business from, or attempt to sell, license or provide the same or similar products, services or events as are now provided to, any customer or client of The Chocolate Shoppe, nor shall use The Chocolate Shoppe's existing client demographic, demographic area, and confidential information to solicit and provide quotes and/or transfer business or events to any competing entity. Further, for a period of three years after the effective date of this Agreement (registration of any event) will not directly or indirectly solicit, induce, or attempt to induce any employee of The Chocolate Shoppe to terminate their employment with The Chocolate Shoppe.

It is agreed that if any registrant, attendee or participant in any event at The Chocolate Shoppe violates this Agreement, irreparable harm will occur, and monetary damages will be insufficient to compensate The Chocolate Shoppe. Therefore, The Chocolate Shoppe will be entitled to seek injunctive relief (i.e. a court order that requires the person(s) registering for this event, attending this event or the participant(s) of this event to comply with this Agreement) to enforce the terms of this Agreement. The Chocolate Shoppe shall have the right to collect from the registrant(s) and/or participant(s) its reasonable costs, necessary disbursements, and attorney fees incurred in enforcing this Agreement.

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the state of Illinois, without regard to any choice of law provisions of the state of Illinois, or any other jurisdiction. In the event of a dispute between the parties, the parties hereby also agree that the prevailing party shall be entitled to reasonable attorney fees and costs incurred as a result of the dispute.

This Agreement is effective at the time of registration of this event, and is virtually signed by and agreed to by the registrant of the event (and virtually signed by and agreed to by attendees and participants of this event), and by the employees and owners of The Chocolate Shoppe.
